What is going to be my investment?
Including your franchise fee, training fee, opening promotion costs, car signage, uniform and stationery and support tools, your initial investment is $46,250 plus GST.
What training and equipment do I need?
Successful businesses are built on successful partnerships, and OE Design is strongly committed to the success of all franchises that join the team. So don’t worry about a thing! We’ll provide you with ongoing support including our introductory OE Design training course, during which time you will gain full industry training.
Part of the package includes a mobile office set-up, discounted car lease packages, access to discounted telecommunication and financial services as well as your uniform, initial stationery pack and local marketing material, to help get you started.
What territories can I work in?
Currently OE Design has franchise opportunities nationwide!
Gone are the days of franchisees working within geographical limits. We know that word of mouth referrals will account for a large percentage of your business, so who are we to stop you from writing business with whoever needs it? However, you will be assigned a marketing territory which allows us to feed you any leads that are generated through franchisor marketing and also allows you the scope to market locally. But if you have a friend or know of someone outside your territory who needs you, then go for it!
How do I generate income?
OE Design consultants (franchisees) get paid upfront and receive ongoing income with every sale that they make. A number of products that we supply, such as web hosting, also provide residual ongoing income that will grow throughout the life of your franchise agreement.
Can I employ any staff?
Generally an OE Design franchisee will be required to act as the consultant as it is you who has had the specialised training. However, there may be opportunity, once your business grows to employ support staff. But the image and success of each franchise remains the sole responsibility of the franchisee.
And what about the Suzuki Swift?
Our corporate branding is very important to us, so as a result every franchisee is required to drive their own OE Design Suzuki Swift. OE Design has negotiated a fantastic deal with various Suzuki Swift suppliers, and after you have chosen the accessories you would like on your Suzuki Swift, you are able to either pay a monthly lease or buy it outright. Most franchisees choose to lease their Suzuki Swift, which then becomes a monthly operational expense. It’s also a great advertisement for your business! Suzuki Swifts are extremely economical to run.
Do I need any special experience?
The beauty of being an OE Design consultant is that no special experience is required. Although we prefer people who have had some sales experience, the most important ingredient in our selection process is your passion, your willingness to help other people and your attitude to running your own business.
How many years has OE Design been in existence?
Five years. OE Design officially started in October 2003 when Peter Sinclair walked from factory to factory in Leda Drive, West Burleigh on the Gold Coast and sold five websites. On that day OE Design consisted of Peter, who is neither a web designer nor web technician, and his technician son, Ben, who was 14 years of age.

Is there a training program? And if so, what type of training will I receive?
Yes. Upon acceptance of your franchise agreement, and prior to your franchise opening for business, you will receive comprehensive training through our Training Facility. This informative and intensive 3 week session covers every aspect of operations including purchasing, merchandising and product knowledge. Training takes place in our support office.
During our training phase you will receive our confidential Operations Manual – your complete guide to business operations.
Is the Franchisee required to purchase any equipment, products or supplies directly from OE Design?
Yes. Certain products will be specified and purchased from authorized vendors.
Does OE Design supply the websites for the Franchisees Clients?
Yes.
What hours does a Franchisee conduct their business?
A Franchisee conducts their business during business hours – generally 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.
What is the length of my franchise agreement?
The actual length of term and fee is based on a 5 year term with a 5 year option.
May I sell my franchise rights?
Yes, subject to OE Design’s right of the first refusal and approval of purchaser.
