Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal or like a ‘what’s new’ page that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption.
It can also be used as a way for the owner of the website to communicate to their customers. The customers can also communicate back through this facility.
Search engines love blogs because they have fresh and new content. Just having a blog alone is not a path to high natural rankings however; it does enable you as a business owner to engage with customers and become a leader in their field of expertise.
